PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) is the legacy p-type architecture (~21% module efficiency, $0.105/W). TOPCon adds a tunnel oxide passivated contact layer for ~23% module efficiency. HJT (Heterojunction) uses amorphous silicon layers on monocrystalline wafers for ~23.5% efficiency, lower temperature coefficient, and higher bifaciality.
QWhat does bifacial gain mean?
Bifacial modules generate electricity from both sides. Real-world annual energy gain typically ranges 5–15% depending on mounting height, ground reflectivity, and tilt. White gravel or sand can deliver 12%+ gain; standard grass is 5–7%.
QWhat MOQ do tier-1 suppliers accept?
100 modules (~55 kW) is the common floor for direct factory pricing. Below 100, you'll typically buy through a distributor at $0.005–0.015/W markup.
QWhat warranty terms are standard?
Tier-1 N-type modules now ship with 25-year product and 30-year linear performance warranty (≤1% first-year degradation, ≤0.4% per year thereafter). PERC modules retain 12-year product / 25-year performance.
